McDonald’s McPickle Burger Looks Like A Dream, And People Are Devastated It’s Not Real
The glorious creation you see above is called a McPickle. No, it's not real, but McDonald's Australia is having a good time getting fans riled up over the fake sandwich, it seems. And because the pickle obsession knows no bounds, people are actually kind of into it.
Posted on April 1 (in Australia), the McDonald's Au account described the McPickle like this: "Pickle lovers, it’s the news you’ve all been waiting for. We’re super stoked to announce the launch of our brand new McPickle Burger. It’s time to tuck into juicy, flavoursome pickles layered between melted cheese, ketchup sauce and toasted sesame seed buns. It’s sure to be a treat for all your senses."
Shortly after posting, the account commented "Available until yesterday." Sweet, sweet April Fool's Day sorrow. Someone else wrote, "omfg if this is april fools joke imma be mad." On Twitter, the sentiment around the burgerless-burger seems to be the same.
In case you're wondering how to hack this beaut, someone in Tasmania has done the dirty work for you. Order a Big Mac with no sauce, onions, or beef, and add ketchup and three extra pickles. Then...see what happens! You might get something that looks like this, along with an eye roll from the poor cashier.
