McDonald's Adds Spooky Halloween McFlurry—But It Won't Be Available Everywhere

McFlurry

After the Grimace Shake broke the internet, McDonald's is introducing a new, mouth-watering menu item: a Trick 'N Treat McFlurry.

This limited edition version of the fan-favorite dessert features vanilla soft serve, which is swirled with hot fudge and crushed orange Smarties, which are candy-coated chocolates. But, sadly, there's a catch: this McFlurry will only be available in Canada for the time being.

The McDonald's Canada Twitter account gave a preview of the treat, sharing a GIF of the McFlurry overflowing in a Halloween-themed cup featuring skeleton hands making a heart. It was captioned, "Something spooky and sweet has arrived, try the Trick 'N Treat McFlurry if u dare."

Under the social media post, a McDonald's customer who tried it shared their review, noting, "Oh I tried it today! It was quite good but sadly I didn’t get it in that spooky Halloween themed cup ??."

While having the Trick 'N Treat McFlurry only be available in Canada feels like a trick, the fast food chain has some treats for U.S.-based fans this Halloween.

The classic Boo Buckets make their return for the holiday, available in four designs: an orange skeleton, a white mummy, a purple vampire, and a green Frankenstein-like monster. They'll be available starting Oct. 17.

Though there aren't any themed food items available for the spooky season in the U.S., other beloved fast food restaurants will have ones that'll satisfy those with a sweet tooth. This year, Sonic is debuting its Trick or Treat Blast, a candy-filled milkshake made with M&MS, pieces of Heath bars, and Oreo cookie crumbles blended into either vanilla or chocolate soft-serve ice cream.
