McDonald's Is Releasing A New Burger And It's Made With Spam and Oreos
As if 2020 wasn't already weird and awkward enough, McDonald's has decided to really take the cake. Though the iconic fast-food chain is known for delivering drool-worthy items (like the holiday pie and chocolate brownie McFlurry) in markets around the world, their new creation is guaranteed to get people talking—even if they're not saying the nicest things.
Set to roll out at McDonald's China, America's favorite burger joint is now delivering one of the most unique burgers out there: a Spam burger topped with Oreo crumbles. The announcement was made on Chinese social media platform Weibo last week and made its way to Twitter when video game analyst Daniel Ahmed tweeted about it. "Look, I saw this so you have to see it too. Sorry, that's how it works," he said in the tweet.
McDonalds China is introducing a new Oreo x Spam burger on December 21. There will be 400,000 produced and sold.

Mixing up a combination of sweets and canned meat, the new mash-up "burger"—if it really qualifies as such—is a limited-time menu item that will become available on December 21. Unfortunately (or maybe this is a good thing?), there are only plans to make 400,000 of the unique burgers. So, if you're not able to grab one, you can always try your hand at replicating one at home.
