McDonald's Shakes Up Its Spring Menu With New McFlurry Flavor
Rumor has it a McDonald's McFlurry flavor from Singapore is headed to the U.S.
McDonald's is reportedly adding a new McFlurry flavor to its menu lineup.
The Strawberry Shortcake McFlurry, which currently appears on McDonald’s menus in Singapore year-round, is said to be coming to parts of the U.S. for a limited time, joining the classic Oreo McFlurry and M&M McFlurry.
The McDonald's Singapore menu describes the Strawberry Shortcake McFlurry as "a match made in heaven" that features "a magical medley of sweet strawberry sauce, crunchy Oreo bits and vanilla soft-serve."
Assuming McDonald's isn't changing any of its ingredients, this McFlurry flavor is not something that we would really consider a true strawberry shortcake (given its lack of biscuits, A.K.A the "shortcake" and, of course, whipped cream). Other critics also seem to agree that the chocolate-covered strawberry cookies and cream combination sounds delicious nonetheless.

While the company hasn't confirmed the exciting new addition just yet, the new item is rumored to launch on April 3 at select McDonald's locations across the country, per insider information shared with multiple reliable food and bloggers known on Instagram as @thekrazycouponlady, @Markie_devo and @snackolator.
As the foodies point out, the new beverage is likely being introduced as a seasonal replacement to the beloved minty-green Shamrock Shake McFlurry, which makes a brief annual appearance for a few weeks-long run near the end of February through mid-March in celebration of St. Patrick's Day.
Luckily, McDonald’s McFlurry prices by flavor don't fluctuate much, so should the McDonald’s Strawberry Shortcake McFlurry roll out at a location near you (and we're really hoping it does), expect to pay the same amount as you would for any other McFlurry.
