Mean Girls Reunion in Walmart’s Black Friday Commercial
Walmart has won the prize for best Black Friday commercial by pulling off a Mean Girls reunion.
Set at North Shore High, we see a new era of plastics ruling the school, but just a few seconds in, we learn that the head of the trio is the daughter of Gretchen Wieners.
Lacy Chabert, Amanda Seyfried and Lindsay Lohan return to reprise their signature roles with a few more familiar faces dotted throughout.
Beloved scenes are also recreated, including "Get in loser, we're going shopping", "there's a 30% chance it's already raining", and, of course, the famous "Jingle Bell Rock" makes a return.
A few faces are missing, however. Rachel McAdams, Tina Fey, and Amy Poehler are absent, as well as Jonathan Bennett, who made a cameo in Ariana Grande's music video for her song "thank u next" in his role of Aaron Samuels.
Mean Girls fans are not going to have a lot of fun with the two minute commercial, which you can watch below.
