So That’s What It Means When Jay-Z Touches Beyoncé’s Leg Like *All* The Time
1) They manage to have private moments in public places.
This candid pic was snapped on the couple's first "On The Run" tour (the same year those cheating rumors started circulating). Greer gushed over how wrapped up in their love these two are.
Though Beyoncé’s hand is busy holding her microphone (fair), her closed eyes and head propped on her husband’s indicates she’s totally here for the onstage snuggles. And while you might think this moment is being played up for the audience, Greer’s pretty convinced that these two are "all over each other" because there is something solid between them.
2) Jay-Z is Beyonce's rock.
In another stage interaction (this time after their marital struggles and reunion), Jay and Bey let the audience in on a private moment in 2018. Jay-Z is standing tall so his wife can lean on him, which Greer says is something Beyoncé knows she can do from now on.
Her arms are on his, her eyes are closed, and their chests are touching, demonstrating total trust on Beyoncé’s part. If you weren’t sure these two made it through the worst of it, let this photo convince you they’re better than good.
3) They still look in love when the going gets, uh, rough.
Just a few hours after this photo was taken at the 2014 Met Gala, Beyoncé’s sister, Solange, went off on Jay-Z in an elevator. The whole thing was captured by a security camera which ignited cheating rumors that Beyoncé would confirm two years later on 2016's Lemonade.
To Greer, the couple seems pretty solid and look like "they’re in this together," but there are some warning signs pointing to the shaky ground they may have been on: Their eyes aren’t locked and Jay-Z’s hand is in his pocket, which is a clue that he has something to hide. Despite holding hands and smiling, these two probs weren't "crazy in love" that night.
4) Jay likes to keep a hand on Bey, like, *all* the time.
Jay-Z is "romantically intertwined" with Beyoncé, according to Greer, and so, loves feeling close to her (tbh, who wouldn’t?). And he expresses how much he needs her by touching Bey’s leg… a lot.

5) Exhibit A: He loves touching her ankle.
According to Greer, an ankle-graze at an L.A. Clippers game means Jay-Z relies on Bey for support...since, you know, ankles hold up the body.
6) Exhibit B: He loves touching her calf.
On the other hand (see what I did there?) a calf caress at a Miami Heat vs. Brooklyn Nets basketball game says, "I care for you," since it's a little gentler.
7) Exhibit C: He loves touching her knee.
This knee-grab at a Toronto Raptors vs. Brooklyn Nets Game expresses how Jay-Z doesn't want to be separated from his wife, Greer says.
8) And he likes to keep an eye on her, too.
"She’s his golden girl," says Greer about Jay-Z's feelings toward Beyoncé in this pic. At the 2015 Met Gala (a year after the elevator showdown) Jay-Z is "making sure everything is in place for [Beyoncé] to shine." While Bey does her thing, Jay keeps an eye out for her to make sure she’s photographed exactly the way she wants.
9) Bey also has her touchy-feely moments.
Taking a sec to switch up the roles in their relationship, Beyoncé becomes the touchy one, reaching out to caress her husband’s face. This shows Jay-Z is the one for her, says Greer. Their knees are angled toward each other, and though the touching is one-sided, those big smiles are indication enough that these two are all about each other.
10) They take PDA to the next level (because they can).
Well, d*mn. "They're showing the sizzle of their sexiness in the way they're embracing," says Greer. During their Grammy Awards performance of "Drunk In Love," their bodies are pressed together, they’re leaning in for a kiss, and their arms are wrapped around each other. That's enough to convince Greer that these two can’t keep their hands off each other.

11) They've been a family since the beginning.
In this 2005 throwback (three years before their wedding, btw), Jay-Z’s holding on tight to Beyoncé. According to Greer, his body language indicates that he’s "feeling the family love" even before they tie the knot. Their eight years of dating were chock full of expressions of love like this one, all of which served as the foundation for their decade-long marriage.
12) Jay makes Beyoncé feel protected.
Jay-Z makes Beyoncé feel secure and safe, says Greer. She can tell from this pic since she's leaning into him and her feet are walking in step with his. Despite her crossed arms, which would usually indicate otherwise, Bey is comfortable with Jay’s arm on her shoulder. Plus, she's giving the camera a genuine smile, which proves she’s happy to be by his side.
13) Their family bond is unbreakable.
"This is a complete circle of happiness, joy, and devotion," Greer says about this family moment. When Beyoncé received the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award from her husband, Jay-Z called her the "best living entertainer." Then, a beaming Beyoncé embraced her family (awww). Besides their huge smiles, Bey’s leaning into the circle of her loved ones, and Jay’s arms are wrapped around Beyoncé and Blue Ivy, meaning they’re in this for the long haul.
