Meet Gabrielle, the New Bag Line From Chanel Everyone Is Obsessed With
In 1955, Coco Chanel introduced the 2.55 bag — with its signature “Mademoiselle” lock — and it changed the handbag forever. Not only did the bag, with its chain strap, free up women’s hands, it also became a Chanel icon and created the concept of an “it” bag. In 2011, the Boy Bag was introduced, and it also became an instant hit — and no self-respecting street-style star or wannabe star can afford to be seen without one!
For 2017, meet the Gabrielle from Chanel. First seen at the spring/summer 2017 ready-to-wear show, this collection of new shapes is set to become the latest must-have, and the best part is it comes in four styles — Hobo, Backpack, Purse, and Large Shopping Bag. All four styles can be worn three different ways — over the shoulder, across the body, or both at the same time, with the chain going over one shoulder and then diagonally over the other — basically whatever suits the wearer’s mood, because its our bag and we can damn well wear it however we want!
