There are a lot of cool and successful women competing on Clayton Echard’s season of The Bachelor, but everyone else needs to step aside for a moment because there’s a literal Olympian in our midst. Meet 30-year-old Marlena Wesh, a majorly accomplished track and field runner from Virginia Beach, Virginia. We’re diving into everything you need to know about Marlena as we watch Clayton’s season unfold—including some spoilers on how far she makes it.

(Note: We don’t know who wins Clayton’s season yet, but we do know who ends up in his final three...but back to Marlena!)

Marlena Competed in the 2012 Summer Olympics!!

Her job title for the Bachelor bios is literally “Former Olympian,” which makes an amazing/inspiring break from some other job titles we’ve seen over the years (no offense to “sloth” and ”princess”).

According to ABC, Marlena competed for Haiti at the 2012 Summer Olympics in track and field, and she’s already gotten a chance to show off her skills during a group date in episode 2, prompting Clayton to muse, “When you took off running, I was like, not that’s even collegiate level. You looked like Olympic speed.” Marlena’s reply? Casually informing Clayton “I am an Olympian” and challenging him to a race. ??????

She Works in Real Estate

Marlena is obviously super accomplished, and these days, she runs her own real estate company in Miami and owns her own properties and is vice president of human resources.

Her Brother Is Also an Olympian

Marlena’s brother Darrell also competed in the Olympics, running for Haiti in 2016. Like, the talent in this family!!

She Wants to Settle Down With the “Right Partner”

Hence Marlena’s decision to join The Bachelor! According to her bio from ABC, “Marlena’s energy is infectious and her smile lights up a room. She knows who she is in this world and has worked hard for all that she has in life. When Marlena loves, she loves hard and is looking for the right partner with whom to settle down.”

ABC also reports that Marlena prefers to travel solo (sorry, Clayton) and has visited over 15 countries by herself. Oh, and also, “There is nothing or no one in this world who could convince Marlena to go bungee jumping.” Gonna go ahead and assume ABC filed away that nugget of info for a future group date.

QUICK BREAK TO SAY....

SPOILERS AHEAD!

She Makes It to the Top 11

Disappointingly, Marlena doesn’t appear to go on a one-on-one date this season and gets eliminated during rose ceremony #5 in Toronto—along with Hunter Haag and this season’s “villain” Shanae Ankney (note: Shanae’s elimination goes down during a two-on-one date, not at the rose ceremony). We don’t know the circumstances surrounding Marlena’s departure, but spoiler sleuth Reality Steve hasn’t reported on anything particularly dramatic going down, so it’s possible that she and Clayton simply didn’t vibe.

Meanwhile, while we do know Clayton’s final three, we don’t know...much of anything else. Including whether or not he’s actually engaged. Last we heard, Clayton told Good Morning America that he “did find love,” but he didn’t clarify if he ended up with someone or was just referencing the multiple “I love yous” he dropped to different people throughout the season. In fact, there are actually some internet conspiracies that Clayton is currently single due to not being able to make up his mind, so stay tuned!
