Meet the dog and owl duo that will melt your heart
Most dogs love cuddling with their owners, other dogs, and maybe even a toy here and there. But this one has a very different kind of BFF. Meet Ingo, the dog who loves to hang out with owls. That’s right — Ingo likes to cozy up with those big-eyed, winged cuties, and we couldn’t be happier about it. It all started when Ingo’s mom began bringing home animals she had rescued.

Ingo and his mom, Tanja Brandt, live in Germany. When Brandt first brought owls home to recover after they had suffered falls or traffic injuries, she saw how caring Ingo was with them and began documenting their adventures. “I wanted nice pictures of my animals. Photos that reflect the soul and character of each animal,” said Brandt. When she’s not rescuing animals, she teaches photography and animal workshops. She is also the author of five books.
Ingo and his buddies are like peas in a pod! They spend their days and nights doing everything together. You can find them out and about on hikes in the woods, posing dramatically in the wild, and even building snowmen. When they’re not exploring nature together, they like to take in football matches on TV or just lounge around the house. We think they’re particularly cute when they’re napping together!

Ingo and his friends now have more than 160,000 followers on Instagram, and Ingo is the star of his own line of products. His devoted fans think he and his furry friends are a real hoot, and they keep coming back for more cuteness. After a quick visit to the Instagram account, it’s easy to see why. Even though the owls come and go as they heal, Ingo makes friends with each one — no doubt helping them with his love and sweetness.
