Meet the world's most eligible royal bachelors — minus Prince Harry, of course

Prince Harry is officially off the market, causing hearts to break around the world. But to the royal-aspiring hopefuls out there, there are still several chances that you too can one day become the next Meghan Markle. To narrow your search, Yahoo Lifestyle has compiled a list of prospective future royal husbands.

  • Prince Mateen of Brunei, 26

‘Winged’ it. No better feeling getting badged by your own father

Back to that island life in a couple of days

His Royal Highness Prince Abdul Mateen is from the Southeast Asian country of Brunei, a small nation on the island of Borneo. In addition to his impressive academic résumé — graduating from the U.K.’s Royal Military Academy Sandhurst before getting his bachelor’s degree at King’s College London and a master’s at the University of London — he has got a popular Instagram account with more than a million followers. That account holds the key to some of Mateen’s passions: the outdoors, spending time with his royal family, horseback riding, and flaunting his incredible wealth.

  • Louis Spencer, Viscount Althorp, 24

Princess Diana’s nephew Louis Spencer is not technically royalty, but he comes pretty close. According to Metro, he is a viscount, which is a noble title, fourth in rank in the British peerage system (which are, in ranking order, duke, marquess, earl, viscount, and baron). The young man caused quite a stir on Saturday when he was photographed at his cousin Prince Harry’s wedding looking dapper while escorting his mom and sister to the chapel. Spencer grew up with his sisters in Cape Town, South Africa, and currently attends the University of Edinburgh in Cape Town.

  • Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, Prince Hamdan of Dubai, 35

Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, better known as Fazza, is an Instagram star with more than 6 million followers who constantly updates his fans on his luxurious lifestyle. He’s the second son of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who is currently the prime minister and vice president of the United Arab Emirates and ruler of the Emirate of Dubai. Likes: competing in the hardcore Gov Games of Dubai, race horses, baby animals, falconry, and family.

  • Prince Nikolai of Denmark, 18

Nikolai William Alexander Frederik is a Denmark prince, but his passion is modeling. Still a teen, he is already making his mark in the industry. The prince appeared in his very first fashion show during London Fashion Week earlier this year, walking for Burberry, and most recently he graced the cover of Dust magazine. It’s no wonder he has already got several fan pages set up in his honor.

  • Prince Philippos of Greece and Denmark, 32

The son of King Constantine of Greece and Queen Anne-Marie of Denmark was born in London. But marrying this prince won’t mean moving overseas and devoting your life to royal duties but rather living a more secular life, as Philippos currently lives in New York City and works as an analyst at Ortelius Capital Partners. And you’d get two royal titles for the price of one.

We know that the world’s most eligible royal bachelors can seem out of reach. But take inspiration from the Duchess of Sussex — who went from taking a tourist photo as Meghan Markle in front of Buckingham Palace 22 years ago to marrying her prince.
