The holiday season means family fun, delicious food and beautiful cocktails. And while some of these viral drink creations may feel impossible to master, we just stumbled across a recent festive trend you’ll want to try immediately.

Social-media mogul Meg Quinn (@ainttooproudtomeg on Instagram) just shared her viral cocktail that she reposted from last year—and it remains well-loved with over 35 million views from this season alone. We can see why it’s so popular because it’s simply gorgeous, and it takes minimal ingredients to make.

The only ingredients you need to prepare for this are a rosemary sprig and whatever clear cocktail or drink you choose. Some ideas include a vodka soda, a gin and tonic or ranch water, but if you’re going the alcohol-free route, sparkling water would work great here too.

First, take a freezer-safe glass and add an inch of water to the bottom. Then, take your rosemary sprig and press it into the water with the stem up before adding it to the freezer. Quinn points out that it stayed up just fine this way, but there are extra ways you can keep the sprig sturdy.

“I’ve seen people use a string and tape … which probably makes it a whole lot easier,” Quinn explained in the video as a way to keep the sprig upright.

Once the water on the bottom is frozen and the rosemary is attached, remove your glass from the freezer. The only thing you have to do now is pour in your clear liquid of choice. Vodka soda or sparkling water will give it that extra flair because the fizz and bubbles will give the appearance of snow!

It’s the easiest cocktail trend we’ve seen in a long time, and we love that it’s completely accessible to make it nonalcoholic if that’s your preference. For more holiday drink recipes, we compiled a list of our favorite easy, festive cocktails with only 5 ingredients that you’ll want to try next.
