  • Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have created their own official Instagram account under @SussexRoyal, but don't currently have their own Twitter account.

  • It appears their royal outings will be documented by the official @RoyalFamily account, which is used for the Queen and other family members.

  • Up until yesterday, Harry and Megan were a part of the @KensingtonRoyal Twitter account, but that is now reserved for Prince William and Kate Middleton's household.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have officially launched their own Instagram account under @SussexRoyal, but are they on Twitter too? The royal couple's activities used to be documented and shared by the official Kensington Palace account, @KensingtonRoyal, which they shared with Prince William and Kate Middleton, but that changed after they went solo on Instagram yesterday.

Once Harry and Meghan's Insta handle was live, they were removed from the @KensingtonRoyal profile photo and bio on both Instagram and Twitter. (The picture now shows the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge with their kids, and the bio reads, "The official account of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and the Royal Foundation, based at Kensington Palace.")

But you won't find Harry and Meghan at the @SussexRoyal handle on Twitter, as it's currently occupied by a user named Kevin Keiley. Earlier today, Keiley even tweeted, "I am still the only @sussexroyal on twitter."

It's unclear whether the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are making arrangements to eventually take that username, but in the meantime, it seems their royal doings are being shared by the general @RoyalFamily Twitter account, which posts "updates, pictures and videos from Buckingham Palace about the work and activities of The Queen and members of The Royal Family," according to the bio.

The account even tweeted a recap of Prince Harry's visit to the YMCA today, which we normally would've seen on the @KensingtonRoyal account.

The merge makes sense for Harry and Meghan, who are in the process of creating their own royal household separate from William and Kate's. That means they'll have their own staff, which will be based in Buckingham Palace and report to the Queen's communications secretary.
