Meghan & Harry Leave Kensington Palace for Wedding
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are just one day away from being married and were photographed leaving Kensington Palace to officially begin the festivities. Markle and Harry were all smiles in the car as they drove off to Windsor Castle. They will have tea with Queen Elizabeth II there and introduce the Queen to Markle's mother, Doria Ragland, as Kensington Palace announced yesterday.
Markle appears to be wearing her hair down with what appears to be a navy dress for the meeting. According to Vanity Fair, the royals are very impressed with Ragland, who has already met Prince Charles, Prince William, and Kate Middleton. These meetings have gone down “very well," royal sources told VF. "She is just like Meghan, they are very alike. Doria is delightful, very calm and collected.” Markle additionally was reportedly "hugely relieved when her mother arrived in England, and she has been helping to keep her calm and grounded," VF added.
In addition to having tea with the Queen, Markle and Harry will spend today “having final meetings” for the wedding, palace aides told Vanity Fair. “They are very hands on and have been very busy.”
Later this afternoon, Markle and Harry will separate until their actual wedding ceremony. Markle will spend the night with her mother at Cliveden House, while Harry will spend it with his brother and best man Prince William at Coworth Park. They'll reunite when Markle walks down the aisle tomorrow in St. George's Chapel at 12 p.m. Windsor time.
