Meghan & Harry's Photo of Archie Pays Tribute to Princess Diana
Following the birth of baby Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor on May 6, 2019, Meghan Markle is currently celebrating her first Mother's Day as a mom.
Meghan and Harry posted an intimate portrait of baby Archie and his mother on Instagram to celebrate the special occasion.
Royal correspondent Roya Nikkhah has pointed out that the photo also honors Prince Harry's late mother, Princess Diana.
In honor of Mother's Day in the U.S., Meghan Markle and Prince Harry shared a special photo of their new baby, Archie Harrison, on Instagram.
In the sweet shot, Meghan's hand can be seen holding Archie's tiny feet, in front of a gorgeous backdrop of flowers. And now, royal commentator Roya Nikkhah has pointed out the important significance of the flowers featured in Meghan and Harry's Mother's Day portrait of Archie Harrison.
Nikkhah tweeted, "To mark Mother’s Day in the US, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have released this picture of baby Archie’s feet against a backdrop of forget-me-knots, Diana, Princess of Wales’s favourite flowers. Meghan is spending her first US Mother’s Day as a new mother with her mother Doria":
The tribute to Prince Harry's late mother, Princess Diana, is extremely adorable. While Meghan's mom is currently visiting the U.K. to spend time with her daughter and first grandchild, it's clear that Harry's mom is in everyone's thoughts.
Royal correspondent Omid Scobie previously revealed to BAZAAR.com that "Ragland has been on hand since April 16 and will spend the weekend-and Mother's Day!-with the new family of three." And by featuring Diana's favorite flowers-forget-me-knots-in the latest photos of Archie, Harry's mother is included in the special occasion, too.
