Meghan Markle's Dad Is Going to Walk Her Down the Aisle...but Not Until He Meets the Queen First
Ring the royal wedding bells, because the most highly anticipated nuptials of the year, aka the marriage of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, are almost here...and we have some exciting new details.
Kensington Palace announced this morning that Meghan's father, Thomas Markle, a retired lighting director who was recently spotted brushing up on his British knowledge by reading a picture book of England at a cafe (we know, dads are the cutest), will walk his daughter down the aisle on her big day. He'll also meet Prince Harry for the first time the week before the wedding, which will take place on May 19 at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle.
Markle's mother, Doria Ragland (her parents divorced when she was six years old), will also be in attendance, and has already met Prince Harry. No other family members from the bride's side have been confirmed.
The bride's parents will fly to London the week before the wedding to meet the Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Charles, Camilla, Prince William and Kate Middleton. No pressure.
Sheesh, and we thought we were nervous to meet the in-laws...
