Meghan Markle's Evening Reception Invitation
While Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding ceremony was broadcast around the world, thrown for them by Prince Charles at Frogmore House, was kept tightly under wraps. Only 200 of the bride and groom's closest friends were invited, and they were reportedly required to leave all cameras and cellphones behind when they came to the party.
But that hasn't stopped some of the details from leaking out. One of Prince Harry's good friends, polo player Nacho Figuras posted a photo on Instagram of the reception's invitation. The front of the cream-colored card reads "M & H Saturday, 19th May 2018 Frogmore House" and "Information for the evening celebrations," written in quite informal script. The invite also features a drawing, perhaps of Frogmore House.
It's worth noting that Kate Middleton drew a sketch for her sister Pippa's wedding program. Perhaps this is how she contributed to her brother-in-law Harry's wedding as well.
Figuras's post, which also featured his outfit for the party, has since been deleted, but you can see a screenshot on the Mirror's website.
The invitation looks quite different from the formal stationery Prince Harry and Meghan Markle sent to guests of the morning ceremony and reception. Those cards were printed on a thick, eight-by-six-inch white cards and featured the Queen's stamp in gold with the text printed in black.
They also included a fun nod to Meghan's heritage: the ink was American-made.
"Using American ink on English card, the invitations are printed in gold and black, then burnished to bring out the shine, and gilded around the edge," shared the Palace back in March.
