Meghan Markle Just Stunned in a Black Sheer Dress at the Queen’s Christmas Luncheon
Meghan Markle attends the Queen’s Christmas luncheon at Buckingham Palace for the second year in a row. The Duchess of Sussex made her debut at the royal family gathering in 2017, nearly a month after her engagement to Prince Harry was announced. This marks the couple’s first time attending as a married pair.
The duchess was only visible from the shoulders up as she and her husband were photographed arriving via car. However, images form her quick cameo tease the outfit she wore for the daytime soirée. She wore a high-necked sheer black dress, with sparkly diamond earrings. According to The Express, Meghan is wearing the stunning Galanterie de Cartier earrings:
Last year, Duchess Meghan wore a Self-Portrait dress with a thick, high collar and a black and white lace, sheer bodice.
This marks Meghan’s second public appearance of the week, following her solo engagement at Brinsworth House nursing home yesterday, which is supported by Royal Variety Charity, one of the Queen’s patronages.
For that outing, the Duchess of Sussex wore a romantic floral midi dress by Brock Collection with a gray wool coat. She was also feeling “very pregnant,” she told one of the residents lightheartedly.
Meghan is expected to join the royal family at Sandringham Estate, the Queen’s country home in Norfolk, for Christmas celebrations this year. She was also there last year, which somewhat bent tradition; in the past, royals have brought their spouses, but not their fiancées, to the intimate family gathering.
On Christmas Day last year, Meghan joined the royal family for a church service, marking her first public appearance with the Queen, Prince Philip, Prince Charles, Prince William, and Kate Middleton.
