Here’s what we’re grabbing during Rothy’s Friends and Family Sale.
For a time I was resigned to the idea that if I wanted to look good, my feet would just forever hurt. I slipped into heels whose pain I’d feel the next morning, loafers that required an entire box of Band-Aids, and flats with zero arch support, all in the name of fashion. I now do that a whole lot less, and it's in major part thanks to Rothy’s, who just launched its Friends and Family Sale.
Now through May 21, you can take 25 percent off some of the comfy footwear brand’s best-sellers and new releases with the code ROTHYS25, including the Mary Janes I’ve walked miles in, the pointed-toe style Meghan Markle and Brooke Shields have worn, and the darling ballet flats an InStyle commerce writer deemed “worth the hype.” Shop my top seven picks from the sale, below.

The Point II Flats
The celebrity-favorite pointed-toe ballet flats are now on sale for $116. This silhouette is always sleek, making it easy to dress up—Shields even wore her bright pink pair with a disco ball-esque dress—and features toe-to-heel cushioning, a stretchy fabrication for the perfect fit, and 29 color options. According to one person, these flats are “elegant” but can be worn all day, while someone else raved they’ve “never had such comfortable dress-up shoes.” They even got the stamp of approval from someone in the medical field who stands all day, writing that the shoes “look great and feel great.”
The Square Mary Jane Flats
These Mary Jane flats turned me into a Rothy’s fan for life. The flexible strap doesn’t dig into my foot but does keep the shoe from moving around and I’ve found that, even on really hot days in Los Angeles, the breathable, knitted material helps my feet stay cool. Of course, they also make any outfit look instantly cuter. One shopper who said that they can’t wear the flats without getting complimented noted that they even changed into the style at their wedding reception: comfy enough for dancing, stylish enough to not look totally out of place next to a wedding dress.
The Casual Clog
These shoes are like a pair of slippers you can actually wear outside of your home (and will get compliments on). They have a soft, hemp-woven upper, contoured footbed with arch support, and roomy toe box, leading one nurse—a self-appointed “clog snob”—to call them “incredibly comfortable.” All of that gets paired with a casual, open-back silhouette for a style shoppers say is made for summer. They’re lightweight enough for hot days and easy to slip on and off, explained one person while another customer deemed them the “perfect summer grab-and-go shoe.”
Rothy’s celebrity- and editor-loved shoes rarely go on sale, so I’m making sure to grab my next pair (probably those clogs!) while they’re 25 percent off during the brand’s Friends and Family Sale. Shop more of the brand’s on-sale styles below, and make sure to use the code ROTHYS25 at checkout.
