Meghan Markle dazzles in diamonds and $1,400 designer gown in Fiji
For her first evening engagement in Fiji, Meghan Markle paid homage to the country in a blue floor-length gown and cape by London-based label Safiyaa. The duchess, who is pregnant with her first child — showed off her sartorial know-how by wearing the color of the Fijian flag.
The gown, known as the Ginkgo cape dress, retails for about $1,400 online. She complemented the frock with dazzling chandelier earrings, which Kensington Palace confirmed to the Sun are “borrowed” — but it remains unknown whether they are from a royal collection.
The mystery of Meghan’s earrings… all KP will say is that they’re “borrowed”. From whom, they will not say. Most likely the Queen. Quite frustrating when earlier in the day they’re happy to say jewellery that has been given both by her & Prince Charles… pic.twitter.com/oom7cPu0qT

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were hosted by President Jioji Konrote of Fiji and first lady Sarote Konrote at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva. The engagement was part of the couple’s 16-day tour of Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, and Tonga.
The dress, in Fijian blue, is by the label’s founder, German-born, London based designer Daniela Karmuts. Baby bump, model’s own 👶🏻🇫🇯

In a rare hair move for the duchess, who is famous for her love of messy buns, she wore her long brunette locks down and parted in the middle.
