Meghan Markle’s Dog Is Reportedly Suffering from 2 Broken Legs

Meghan Markle is an animal lover, through and through — she’s even won over Queen Elizabeth’s own corgis! The Suits actress is reportedly distraught over her rescue dog, Guy, at the moment, however, who is said to be suffering from two broken legs.

According to The Mail on Sunday, the beagle was injured shortly after the Royal couple’s engagement was announced, though no official cause has been revealed. Luckily, he’s in good hands, with the outlet reporting that England’s favorite TV vet, Noel Fitzpatrick, AKA The Supervet/The Bionic Vet, who’s known for his work in creating prosthetics for animals with missing limbs, is tending to the pup’s injuries in Surrey.

During Markle and Prince Harry’s engagement interview, she explained that Guy had settled into the Royal Nottingham Cottage the twosome now lives in. She was forced to leave her other dog, Bogart, behind with friends after he was reportedly deemed too old to fly across the pond. “Well, I have two dogs that I’ve had for quite a long time, both my rescue pups,” the recently engaged star told BBC News. “And one is now staying with very close friends and my other little guy is — yes, he’s in the UK, he’s been here for a while.”

When reached for comment via People, Prince Harry’s official residence, Kensington Palace, declined, but we’re sure little Guy is in good hands: Fingers crossed he makes it home in time for the rest of the holidays!
