Meghan Markle’s friend and ‘Suits’ co-star Abigail Spencer celebrates lifestyle brand with duchess’s dog
Meghan Markle’s longtime friend and “Suits” co-star Abigail Spencer has joined the exclusive list of 50 people who received a jam jar from the royal’s new lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard.
Spencer, who struck up a friendship with the Duchess of Sussex in 2011 on the set of the hit legal drama, took to Instagram to show off her special delivery from her gal pal.
“This jam is my jam,” Spencer, 42, captioned the Instagram post, which featured a snap of her posing with the jam in a bowl filled with lemons. “A delicious taste of what’s to come indeed… love you so M
.”
In the series of snaps, the actress — who played attorney Dana “Scottie” Scott in the series — was seen soaking up the sun’s rays in the grass as she held her friend’s latest product drop.
It wasn’t long until eagle-eyed followers spotted that the pup Spencer is lounging around with belongs to none other than Markle and her husband, Prince Harry.
Fans rushed to the comments section to point out the striking similarities the pooch shares with Markle and Harry’s dogs: two beagles named Guy, which Markle adopted in 2015, and Mamma Mia, adopted in 2022.
Markle spent much of last week sending out jars of strawberry jam from her new lifestyle brand, which is set to come to fruition later this year.
The mom of two sent out lemon-filled gift baskets containing fresh fruit jam to 50 of her friends ahead of the brand’s official launch.
Mindy Kaling, an award-winning actress and friend of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, and Tracee Ellis Ross were two of few people who received a jam jar from Markle.
Designer Tracy Robbins and Argentinian model Delfina Blaquier, the wife of Prince Harry’s close friend and polo player Nacho Figueras, also received Markle’s strawberry condiment.
The Markle, 42, unveiled her passion project to the world last month.
According to those close to the royal, the brand’s name is a sweet nod to Santa Barbara, California, as it has been nicknamed the “American Riviera” for over a century.
The location is also where Markle and her husband reside with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
Spencer’s post comes just days after she teamed up with Markle and their close friend Kelly McKee Zajfen to show off graphic T-shirts they wore in support of foster-care charities.
The trio smiled as they posed for photos out on the lawn together, which Spencer later shared with her 822,000 followers on social media.
