Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's eventful January is finally over. After they announced on January 8 that they were stepping back from their duties as senior members of the royal family, the couple has been hit with an onslaught of media coverage, questions, and negotiations with the royal family. With all that going on, Meghan has had a lot of support. Per People, her mother, Doria Ragland, and her friend have gotten her through this.

"Meghan had friends and her mom around while Harry remained in England," a source told the publication.

Ragland spent time with Harry and Meghan while they were in Vancouver for their holiday, While Harry was in England negotiating the terms of the royal exit with his family, Ragland was reportedly a big source of support for her daughter.

"She definitely gets a lot of her strength from her mother," a friend of Meghan's told People.

In late January, Harry finally returned to Canada after spending time in England with his family, but Meghan was home with their son, Archie, for much of January. Right after they made their announcement about stepping back from royal life, Archie stayed in Canada with Meghan's good friend, Canadian fashion designer Jessica Mulroney.

Ragland, who has been known to support her daughter from the time of her big royal wedding all the way to the birth of her first child, has held strong that her daughter will come through this just as strong as ever.
