Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have officially adjusted to their new lives in California—and the Duke of Sussex's new favorite pastime is proof. According to Page Six, Meghan bought her husband surfing lessons for his birthday on September 15, and "he's loving it," says the source. The royal had allegedly wanted to test out the sport for some time; he was spotted biking to Surfrider Beach in Malibu while the couple still lived in Los Angeles. It's known as one of California's premier surfing beaches.

While the pair has since moved into a new home in Santa Barbara, the royal is still enjoying his gift in their new locale. "[Prince] Harry's loving Montecito," a source told the outlet. "He's having the best time," the insider added of using his birthday gift from Meghan.

As for Meghan's birthday celebrations just a few weeks prior, on August 4? Prince Harry made her day just as special with the help of his mother-in-law. "They spent the day as a family and in the evening Doria looked after Archie so that Meghan and [Prince] Harry could enjoy some couple time," an insider previously shared with Us Weekly. "Harry cooked Meghan a three-course dinner, but Doria helped him with the preparation." His culinary skills are a work in progress, though he has plenty of help from his wife, a master chef: "While [Prince] Harry has become a better cook since marrying Meghan, he still has a long way to go!" added the insider.

The royal topped off her birthday with custom presents to mark the simple, yet intimate occasion—as next year will likely include a "big, glamorous birthday party with all her friends" to celebrate her 40th birthday. "He wanted the gift to be personal, so he surprised Meghan with a necklace that he designed," the insider said. "And a framed photograph of the two of them, which he took himself."
