Meghan Markle Is Getting Her Own Wax Statue
Those who aren't lucky enough to nab an invite to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's spring wedding, here's your chance to get close to the bride-to-be ahead of their big day.
Madame Tussauds has announced that the 36-year-old former actress and philanthropist will have her very own wax statue to be unveiled the first week of May.
Markle's "chosen outfit and stance remain a tightly guarded secret", according to the London attraction, but the the 'choice will reflect an iconic moment in Meghan's royal journey so far'.
Edward Fuller, Madame Tussauds London's General Manager, said: "Excitement for the royal couple's wedding reaches across the globe so it will come as no surprise that we've been secretly working away on a Meghan Markle figure since news of the royal engagement broke.
"It's clear that the public has already taken Meghan to their hearts. One half of arguably the most famous couple in the world right now she's already made her own mark as a humanitarian and role model.
"We're excited to give guests the chance to 'meet' her in attraction later this year."
Prince Harry and Markle will marry at St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle on May 19. The couple recently announced that they are inviting more than 2,600 members of the public into the grounds of Windsor Castle to feel part of the celebration.
Kensington Palace has confirmed that 100 children from local schools will be invited inside the castle grounds. Another 200 guests will be made up of representatives from Harry's key charities, along with 530 members of staff from the Royal Household and Crown Estate and more than 600 people from the Windsor Castle community.
Out of the 2,640 members of the public invited, this leaves a further 1,200 who will be nominated to attend from around the UK.
Earlier this week, Harry and Markle confirmed that they have chosen Californian pastry chef Sarah Ptak to create a lemon and elderflower wedding cake to celebrate spring.
