Meghan Markle is pretty in pink in $825 sleeveless trench dress
Royal purists may be ready to pounce on her for (shock! horror!) baring her shoulders, but Meghan Markle‘s latest look is so chic, it’s worth any raised eyebrows or clutched pearls.
The newly minted Duchess of Sussex chose a summery pale-pink dress by the Canadian label Nonie for a royal appearance with Prince Harry on Tuesday. The couple visited the Nelson Mandela Centenary Exhibition at London’s Southbank Centre, which celebrates what would have been the late South African president’s 100th birthday.
Part of Nonie’s Spring/Summer 2018 collection, the blush-toned trench dress retails for $825. The sleeveless, midi number features a belted waist, trench-style buttons, and an open detail in the back.
Meghan accessorized with matching heels and a Mulberry light pink Clifton bag, and styled her hair in a messy bun.
The duchess has received backlash for showing off her shoulders at royal events. Will traditionalists also label this dress ‘inappropriate,’ or can the public finally accept the woman’s right to bare arms?
