Meghan Markle rocks camel coat and long waves in first royal appearance of 2020
On Tuesday Meghan Markle and Prince Harry returned to royal duties with a visit to Canada's High Commission in London.
The engagement signified the end of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s six-week long break from royal duties, which began in mid-November.
According to a statement from Buckingham Palace, the couple wanted to meet Janice Charette, Canada's High Commissioner to the U.K., and other members of the High Commission team in order to "thank them for the warm Canadian hospitality and support they received during their recent stay."
The couple also viewed a special exhibition by indigenous Canadian artist Skawennati which is currently displayed at Canada House.
Meghan wore a chestnut brown turtleneck with a matching satin skirt underneath a camel overcoat. On her feet, she wore a pair of copper Jimmy Choo Romy velvet stilettos, which she has worn previously.
Prior to this scheduled appearance, it is believed they made a private visit the Hubb Community Kitchen, which Meghan collaborated with to produce the Together cookbook last year.
This is according to a tweet from royal correspondent Richard Palmer.

What the Sussex family did on their break
The main reason behind the couple’s break was to spend “much-needed family time” with 8-month-old baby Archie, who was born in May last year.
They did not spend Christmas at Sandringham with the queen and the rest of the royal family, as is tradition, but instead spent the occasion with Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland.
“Having spent the last two Christmases at Sandringham, their royal highnesses will spend the holiday this year, as a new family, with the duchess’s mother Doria Ragland,” a spokesperson for the Palace confirmed to Sky News.
It is believed they spent some time on Vancouver Island in Canada, where Meghan surprised couple Iliya Pavlovic and Asymina Kantorowicz by offering to take a photo of them during a hike.
The duchess was there with actress pal Abigail Spencer and Prince Harry, among others.
