Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Celebrated Archie’s Birthday With the Sweetest Gifts
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s son, Archie, celebrated his 2nd birthday yesterday, and aside from taking a super-cute pic with a fleet of balloons, he spent the day chilling with his parents and Zooming with his great-grandmother (the Queen, it’s casual).
“While Harry and Meghan are raising Archie to be grounded, they go the extra mile on his birthday,” a source tells Us Weekly. “They made [his] card themselves and wrote a sweet poem inside, splashed out on gifts—including outdoor toys—and have bought him the cutest birthday outfit!”
The couple honored their son’s birthday by encouraging fans to donate “to bring vaccines to families in the world’s most vulnerable places,” and the source says, “They want Archie to grow up understanding the importance of giving back. Harry and Meghan feel so blessed to have such an articulate and caring child. Archie is learning to count already and keeps saying, ‘Two!’”
Meanwhile, another source told the outlet, “[Queen] Elizabeth II is planning to wish Archie a happy birthday via Zoom and she has sent him a present and card. Seeing her great-grandson’s face always brightens up her day!”
It’s unclear when the Queen might reunite in person with her great-grandson, but Prince Harry is expected to return to England this summer for the unveiling of Princess Diana’s statue at Kensington Palace, which he commissioned along with his brother, Prince William. It remains to be seen if Meghan and Archie will join Harry for the trip, especially since Meghan’s due date is also this summer, but here’s to hoping!
