Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Are out Delivering Food to Those in Need in LA
Earlier this week, news broke that former senior royals Meghan Markle and Prince Harry (you've heard of them, yes?) had donated a large amount of money to Feeding Britain in an effort to help those suffering most during the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, TMZ reports, the couple has been spotted out in public for the first time in their new home base of Los Angeles for another charitable reason: dropping off food to a low-income housing unit.
Specifically, the outlet notes, the pair was working with the L.A.-based Project Angel Food, an organization that "prepares and delivers medically tailored food to people suffering from chronic illnesses." Security camera footage obtained by the site shows Meg and Harry driving up to the building on Wednesday, approaching it in masks (Meghan also wore gloves), and dropping off at least two big bags filled with food for the residents. It's unclear what exactly was in the bags, though we do know Meghan is an A+ cook and probably made something hearty and delicious.
The couple was so incognito that TMZ says they could've been mistaken for just about anyone—both also wore baseball hats and very casual clothing (*joke about royals and how they are just like us in times of panic here, etc., etc.).
While the footage only shows them dropping off the food inside the building and interacting with someone who appeared from inside, Meghan and Harry also reportedly made a few (presumably socially distant) stops to say hi to people while they were there.
