Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Just Signed a Netflix Deal

The news comes after reports that they've been pitching projects in Hollywood.

After six months of living in Los Angeles, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry can officially declare themselves Angelenos. According to Entertainment Tonight, the couple has been indulging in burgers and fries from the fast-food joint In & Out — it's a West Coast classic, after all.

It's reported that Meghan and Harry have been making frequent trips to the drive thru in LA while on their way home to Santa Barbara after meetings and appearances in the city, including their most recent visit to a preschool, where they helped plant a garden. "They stopped at the drive thru and all of the employees nearly lost their minds," ET noted. "They were all yelling and laughing, and could not believe Meghan and Harry were ordering burgers from the drive thru." Apparently, Harry has been clued in on the restaurant's secret menu.

Though it's unclear what exactly the duke and duchess's top picks are, Harry strikes us as someone who would go for the Animal Style burger, with double meat, extra spread, and grilled onions, while we imagine Meghan keeps it simple with a plain cheeseburger, fries, and maybe a vanilla shake.

Following the announcement of the Sussexes's departure as senior members of the royal family, and their subsequent declaration for financial independence, another fast-food chain preemptively offered Harry a job. "You always have a job in our kingdom," Burger King jokingly tweeted, adding: "This royal family offers part-time positions."

Turns out, Harry won't be needing BK's offer, as he and Meghan signed a multi-year deal with Netflix reportedly worth $150 million.

"Our lives, both independent of each other, and as a couple have allowed us to understand the power of the human spirit: of courage, resilience, and the need for connection," Meghan and Harry said in a statement about the content they'll be producing for the streaming service.

"Through our work with diverse communities and their environments, to shining a light on people and causes around the world, our focus will be on creating content that informs but also gives hope. As new parents, making inspirational family programming is also important to us, as is powerful storytelling through a truthful and relatable lens. We are pleased to work with Ted [Sarandos, co-chief executive officer and chief content officer for Netflix] and the team at Netflix whose unprecedented reach will help us share impactful content that unlocks action."
