Meghan Markle and Prince Harry make first public appearance as a married couple
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry made their first official appearance as a married couple on Tuesday.
The newly named Duke and Duchess of Sussex were on hand for a garden party in honor of Prince Charles’s 70th birthday at Buckingham Palace.
For the occasion, Markle wore a light pink dress with sheer sleeves from Goat (retails for $643), a brand her sister-in-law, the Duchess of Cambridge, also favors. The former actress is also sporting a pair of pantyhοse (which the queen apparently requires of all female family members and guests for royal events).

She accessorized with a large-brimmed hat from Philip Treacy tilted to the side with her hair styled in a low bun. She also wore light pink high heels and carried a matching envelope clutch.
The newlyweds, who delayed going on a honeymoon to get right back to work, returned to Kensington Palace in London on Monday after spending the weekend in Windsor following the royal wedding.
Meghan has already been added to the Royal Foundation, the “primary philanthropic and charitable vehicle for The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and The Duke and Duchess of Sussex.” She also has an official bio on the official website of the British royal family that specifically calls out the fact that she’s proud to be “a woman and a feminist.”
