Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are constantly in the spotlight, as their royal wedding fast approaches. Due to take place on May 19, there's not long to go before the former Suits actress walks down the aisle. So perhaps it's unsurprising that Prince Harry and Markle didn't show up to the royal family's Easter service this morning.

Taking place at St. George's Chapel in Windsor Castle, which just so happens to be the location of Prince Harry and Markle's forthcoming nuptials, Kate Middleton and Prince William accompanied the Queen to the Easter service. Sadly, Prince Philip was too ill to attend. And here's why everyone's favorite royal couple weren't there.

Hello! is reporting that, "the lovebirds were most likely enjoying some downtime out of the public eye," which definitely sounds like code for eating chocolate eggs in the privacy of their own home.

According to Access, "Palace officials said their weekend plans are private." Basically, it sounds as though they're taking some urgently needed time out from their busy schedules over the holiday weekend.

Several members of the royal family were in attendance at the Easter morning church service with Queen Elizabeth II. Prince William and Kate Middleton were spotted arriving late at the service. Middleton, who is currently pregnant with her third child and due to give birth later this month, wore a simple yet chic dark coat, with a dark brown hat, to the service. She looked happy to be partaking in Easter celebrations with her family.
