Meghan Markle reemerges amid private plane backlash: 'Damage control'
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry may be at the center of attacks by British press for chartering a private plane for their recent vacation to the south of France. However, the negative press doesn’t seem to be stopping the Duchess of Sussex from doing her job and collaborating with brands to make a positive impact.
In a series of videos posted to the Instagram story on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s account, Markle is seen behind-the-scenes at a photoshoot for Smart Works — a London-based organization that provides women with work wear essentials. According to the posts and royal correspondent, Rebecca English, the 38-year-old is working on an initiative to support the collective and even set to release a capsule collection with the organization.

Still, some people have negative things to say about Markle’s appearance on social media amid the backlash and even claim that publicizing her work with Social Works is “all PR.”
Trying to counteract the bad publicity. Harry will be seen clowning around for children next, to remind us all how lovable & down to earth he is 🙄

And yet no pap pictures? So she CAN move around without the whole world following her? #frauds#greedy#yachtgirl

Others, however, applauded Markle for doing good work despite receiving so much hate.
Love it! Keep working while the haters focus on the small trivial things.

Haters gonna hate

One fan of Markle’s even said, “Haters gonna hate.” Although a close friend of Markle’s, Jessica Mulroney, took to her Instagram on Tuesday to call those haters “racist bullies.”
She captioned her post: “3 years of undeserved hate and abuse. It’s enough.”
Mulroney’s defense of the duchess comes on the same day that a few of Markle’s other famous friends decided to speak out — including Elton John, who claimed that it was actually his plane that the royal couple took to visit John and his husband in France.
“I highly respect and applaud both Harry and Meghan’s commitment to charity,” John tweeted, “and I’m calling on the press to cease these relentless and untrue assassinations on their character that are spuriously crafted on an almost daily basis.”
