Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly planning a royal tour of the United States, but before that, Meghan hopes to make a trip to the homeland as early as this summer.

“She’s planning a personal, unofficial trip this summer to see family and friends,” a source tells Us Weekly. “She’ll go to New York, then L.A.”

New York and L.A. make total sense considering she was an actress, so she probably has friends in both places, and her mother Doria lives in L.A.

Noticeably left off this list of destinations is Mexico, where her father lives. Reports came out of the palace this week saying Harry and Meghan are "frustrated" that he keeps giving paid interviews, to which he responded to TMZ by basically saying he doesn't care.

"I’m enjoying the fact that I can make the entire Royal Family not speak and maybe I can get a laugh out of the Duchess," he told the outlet.

The couple already has a tour of Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and the Kingdom of Tonga booked for October, and then the tour of the United States will reportedly happen in the spring.

“They are thinking New York, Washington, D.C., and California,” another source tells Us Weekly. “They’re working to finalize locations and venues. … The Canadian Foreign Office has heard about the tour and would love to have them stop there. This may very well become a North American tour.”
