Meghan Markle will reportedly learn how to be royal from the Queen's private secretary
Meghan Markle is reportedly being taught how to be an effective royal by a special adviser to Queen Elizabeth.
The ink has barely dried on her shiny, new marriage certificate, but the freshly minted Duchess of Sussex has already turned her attention to being the best royal she can be.
To give the former actress a helping hand in learning the royal ropes, the duchess will be schooled by the queen’s assistant private secretary, Samantha Cohen.
According to the Times of London, the 49-year-old Cohen had actually handed in her notice in September but has reportedly agreed to stay on as an interim private secretary to the duke and duchess for an additional six months.
It is believed that Markle will spend the next six months in training, learning how to be an effective member of the royal family.
Part of her royal education will include touring the country and meeting charities.
“It will be six months of listening,” a source told the Times. “She is seeking out advice from a range of people. She is going to proceed with humility. It is not going to be quiet, though. It is going to be a very busy office.
“She has worked every day of her life. She is used to a demanding schedule.”
Proof of the duchess’s new royal credentials was revealed mere hours after her wedding on Saturday, when she was added to the official royal family website.
