Meghan Markle Wears an Armani Belted Dress for Her Oprah Tell-All Interview
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's sit-down conversation with Oprah has been teased as an explosive, honest, and intimate conversation the likes of which royal fans have never seen. But it also marks the first joint televised interview the couple has done since stepping back from their duties as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and since announcing the news of their second child. So what does one wear for such a momentous occasion? Armani.
In a new teaser for the special, airing March 7, Markle can be seen in a black silk Armani dress, embellished with an asymmetrical floral pattern and matching belt. She completed the polished look with a simple yet sophisticated pair of black stiletto pumps from one of her favorite footwear brands, Aquazzura. (Her exact dress is now sold out, but shop a similar style below!)
Her hair, unsurprisingly, was swept up into her signature low bun for the event. But Markle did add a surprise twist with a bolder beauty look than usual, opting for a heavier lined eye, coral cheeks, and a pink glossy lip.
According to the fashion account @MeghansMirror, Markle's accessorized the outfit with a necklace by designer Pippa Small, earrings by Canadian retailer Maison Birks, and a diamond bracelet which is believed to a Cartier heirloom from Princess Diana's collection.
The outfit is definitely a departure from Markle's approachable and (fittingly) California-girl style which she's largely returned to since moving to Montecito—consider the $30 Velvet Torch dress she was spotted wearing on FaceTime with Prince Harry during his James Corden appearance. But the overall dressier feel seems fitting considering how heavy and emotional their interview is poised to be.
In the clips released on February 28, viewers hear Prince Harry speak about his mother's struggles with the press and the royal family. “My biggest concern was history repeating itself,” he says with candor. “For me, I’m just really relieved and happy to be sitting here talking to you with my wife by my side, because I can’t begin to imagine what it was like for [my mother] going through this process by herself all those years ago."
