Meghan Markle Wore the Perfect Givenchy Dress
Meghan Markle's first solo royal outing without Prince Harry is significant for several reasons, and the Duchess of Sussex selected the perfect outfit for the engagement.
Arriving into Runcorn Station on the royal train this morning, Queen Elizabeth wore a lime green suit, while Meghan opted for a nude Givenchy dress with a black belt. Both the Queen and the Duchess of Sussex were handed bouquets of flowers when they stepped off of the train, and they greeted well-wishers as they walked to their car, as they are going to open the Mersey Gateway Bridge this morning.
Meghan's simple and elegant outfit is in keeping with her usual style. The fitted ivory Givenchy dress had a high neckline can cape, and was accessorized with a black belt at the waist, a black clutch bag, and simple black heels. The Duchess followed the Queen as they stepped off of the royal train, and look honored to be attending her first official solo event with the monarch.
Meghan's first royal trip without her husband Prince Harry, involves several important engagements alongside the Queen-the opening of the Mersey Gateway Bridge in Cheshire, opening the Storyhouse Theater in Chester, where Meghan will meet with young performers, and attending a lunch at the Chester Town Hall.
The fact that Meghan is attending all of these events without Prince Harry, and so soon after the royal wedding, is proof that Queen Elizabeth regards the new royal as a capable member of the family, with whom she is happy to make official visits.
