While Meghan Markle has retreated into private life after intense scrutiny as a British royal, the world still watches her every move. Every public appearance spurs a frenzy of reports on her hair, clothes, and even the color of her nails. It's no wonder she's always put-together–especially afters years as an actress spending countless hours in expert skincare and makeup hands. Her former hairstylist, Lydia Sellers, told Refinery29 that “Meghan is very in-the-know—she had her blog (The Tig) for a while, so she just gets beauty.” Meanwhile, Meghan's former Suits makeup artist, Spencer Barnes, backed Sellers' sentiment when he gushed to Life and Style about Meghan’s enthusiasm for skincare. He shared, “When I worked with Meghan, she was all about skin! She wanted her skin to look like skin but enhanced galore—glowing, radiant, and healthy—while subtly contoured so that the architecture of her face was maximized. Nuanced subtly was always key,”

Though Meghan is *technically* a Duchess, she certainly presents herself like any storybook princess would: With beauty, elegance, humility, and style. Want to emulate Meghan’s look? Keep reading.

She knows that moisturized skin is the first step to camera-ready skin.

There is no doubt Meghan is putting her A-game forward when it comes to her appearance (just look at her skin in every paparazzi photo, it’s radiant). When talking to ET, Spencer shared that,"[Meghan has] always loved La Mer and she was great about her skincare routine.” Meaghan has also gushed about her love for Kate Somerville Quench. When she was interviewed by BeautyBanter, she shared, “I’ve been going to Kate’s clinic in LA for facials for years...and use the products to maintain that glow that her facials give.”

She also knows that you cannot have polished skin unless you exfoliate.

“I really love the Tatcha Rice Enzyme Powder. It just sort of foams on your face and gives you a really subtle exfoliation,” Meghan told Allure in 2014.

She’s serious about keeping her freckles visible.

"To this day, my pet peeve is when my skin tone is changed and my freckles are airbrushed out of a photo shoot," she told Allure in 2017. When sharing her favorite foundation and her strategy for application, Meghan told Birchbox, "I never want to cover my freckles, so we just do a 'wash' of [Chanel Sublimage Le Teint] foundation in certain sections instead of over the entire face.”

Her makeup artist would use this concealer for the most natural finish.

To reinforce Meghan’s preference to err on the side of caution when it comes to priming her face, Spencer told ET, "I remember using Cle de Peau concealers with her because they're silky smooth but they offer coverage where you need them, but they look very natural on camera or in person.”

She has no need for lash extensions thanks to this serum.

When talking to Allure, she revealed she uses a conditioning treatment. “I use Revitalash on my eyelashes, and I swear they are as long as they could ever be."

She has taken exercise to a new level, and brought it to her face!

Though facial exercise may not sound like the most conventional activity, face gyms are all the rage and available in nearly every city! Meghan may have even been ahead of her time, considering she shared her love for it to Birchbox in 2014. She revealed, "I do facial exercises from one of my favorite aestheticians, Nichola Joss, who basically has you sculpt your face from the inside out. I swear it works, as silly as you may feel. On the days I do it, my cheekbones and jawline are way more sculpted. There’s a reason [Nicola] is in high demand around awards season when every actress wants to look A-plus."

She uses makeup remover wipes just like you.

When asked by BeautyBanter what product she buys in bulk, Markle admitted, “Biore Cleansing Cloths for the face. They’re great to keep in the car and on your nightstand when you have those horribly lazy nights that the thought of getting up to actually wash your face seems unbearable.”

When it comes to makeup, she prefers a neutral palate.

"Whenever I'd work with her,” Barnes shared with ET, “she'd like to highlight her fresh, radiant skin. We'd do a very glowing, fresh-faced skin. We'd use earthy tones, colors that enhanced her natural beauty, rather than a lot of obvious color choices. We'd stick with earthy tones. A lot of rich, warm tones and that really flattered her. It helped her just look radiant and fresh." And according to various sources, including Hello, Meghan’s favorite nude lip color is Charlotte Tilbury’s Matte Revolution Lipstick in Very Victoria—a taupe nude.

Her hair is always coiffed to perfection thanks to some trusted smoothing products.

One of the best accessories a person can wear is gorgeous hair, and Meghan has mastered the art. She is a self-professed fan of Kerastase haircare and uses their Oleo Relax products “religiously.” Though we only ever see her with perfectly sleek and straight hair, albeit sometimes with a slight wave, Meghan actually has naturally curly hair. Sellers, used both the Kerastase line of products to “keep everything smooth” as well as the Smooth Again cream by Kevin Murphy.
