Meghan McCain Quietly Marries Ben Domenech in Arizona
Meghan McCain is officially off the market. Just weeks after confirming her engagement to conservative pundit Ben Domenech, the couple quietly wed on November 21, at the McCain family ranch in Sedona, Arizona.
“Meghan McCain and Ben Domenech were married today at the McCain family lodge in Sedona, Arizona,” a rep for the bride told People. “The bride’s father, Senator John McCain, gave her away and they were married by John Dickerson. Following the ceremony, McCain and Domenech celebrated with dinner and dancing surrounded by their family and close friends.”
According to the magazine, McCain married before 100 guests, which included former co-workers who joined Senator McCain’s bid for the presidency in both 2000 and 2008. The bride announced her engagement in early November just months after her father announced he was battling stage 4 brain cancer.
Domenech, a conservative writer and publisher for online magazine The Federalist, proposed at the Mayo Clinic. “We got engaged because we decided to sort of celebrate life and celebrate being alive,” she said last month on The View.
However, she noted to other fans and followers that the end goal wasn’t an engagement. “I want all the single girls out there to know, I don’t consider this an achievement,” she said. “It’s just part of my life right now.”
