Melissa McCarthy to film Christmas movie in Nyack on Monday
Spring may be here, but in Nyack, it's Christmastime.
That's because of a Melissa McCarthy holiday movie being filmed in town Monday. Eagle-eye residents saw — and posted on the Village of Nyack Facebook page — fake snow being put up a few days ago in front of the library, along with wreaths and Christmas trees.

According to Nyack Mayor Don Hammond, "Bernard and the Genie," a remake of a Richard Curtis TV film of the same name, will be filming there, as well as at Art Cafe, Bangkok Station (on Park Avenue) and along South Broadway. As a result, both Art Cafe and Bangkok Station will be closed Monday.
The film also stars Paapa Essiedu. The movie is about a workaholic man who enlists the help of the genie to win his family back before Christmas.
