Michael J. Fox Shares Photos From His Personal 'Heaven'
Michael J. Fox is enjoying some relaxation time from his personal "heaven."
The actor shared a photo on Instagram, showing himself with a plate of delicious-looking pancakes and a cup of coffee, with a picturesque landscape behind him. The actor captioned it, "Heaven? What is Vancouver. #jeopardymasters."
His Back to the Future co-star Christopher Lloyd showed love for the picture, commenting, "????" in reference to the Gibson guitars t-shirt Fox was sporting. Fox's fans also reacted to the actor's idyllic morning. "That view and the pancakes look amazing!!," remarked a fan, while another wrote, "Looking great! And BC is stunning!"
Fox is Canadian and was born in Edmonton, Alberta. During his childhood, his family moved to Burnaby, right outside Vancouver, so the city holds a special meaning to him. He also moved back to Vancouver in the late '80s, eventually deciding to reside in the US again.
In a 2010 interview with the aptly-named site Vancouver is Awesome, Fox spoke about his love for the city. "To start with, it's just visually stunning. There's a convergence of land, water and sky in a way that just doesn't exist anywhere else in a city," said Fox. "It's just amazing. And also it attracts people that are worthy of it, people who enjoy the hell out of it and use it and develop it and share it. The people know what they've got and they take full advantage of it."
He also shared memories of growing up in Burnaby. "In the winter time when the pond would freeze over we'd go down and clear it off with a shovel, bringing a stick, a pair of skates and a puck and play hockey," he recalled. "I remember my childhood there just feeling easy and free. I knew all the streets and all the back trails through the woods."
