Michael Strahan Makes Return to 'Good Morning America' After 3-Week Absence

Michael Strahan made his emotional return to Good Morning America on Wednesday, Nov. 15 after three weeks away, with his co-hosts sharing how happy they were to see him back.
During the intro to the morning show, Robin Roberts took the time to address Strahan's return, saying, "We have tears of joy because Michael is back." George Stephanopoulos nodded in agreement.
Strahan replied, "It is great to be back with both of you. It is great to be back. Thank you guys." The GMA crew didn't share any details about Strahan's absence or talk further about the situation as Wednesday's episode continued.

Chris Pine appeared on the day's episode as a guest and he bonded with Strahan over their shared love of fashion. In a clip from GMA, Pine looked at Strahan and noted, "I have those same socks!" before the former professional football player replied, "You know what, you and I, we're sympatico, buddy." Strahan then added, "I have that same jacket!"

Strahan's last appearance on GMA was Oct. 26, meaning he was absent from the show for just about three weeks before returning. Fans grew worried about his health and wondered where he was, with a spokesperson saying that he was "dealing with some personal family matters."
The 51-year-old was also missing from his duties on Fox NFL Sunday during this time. When he finally returned on Sunday, Nov. 12, fans were hoping it meant they'd see him back on GMA, although it wasn't until a few days later that he would reappear as host of the ABC program.
