Michael Strahan's Lengthy Absence from 'Good Morning America' Sparks Fan Concern
Michael Strahan
There is growing concern among fans of Michael Strahan, former professional football player and current TV personality, as he has been missing from his post on Good Morning America for over a week.
On Monday, Nov. 6, fans' concern increased as Strahan had not returned to the morning show, with Linsey Davis stepping in for him. But Strahan is often absent from Monday morning episodes, as he hosts Fox NFL Sunday as well in Los Angeles, California, and often spends his Mondays traveling back to New York City.
Despite this, Strahan has been missing from Fox NFL Sunday shows as well, leaving many perplexed and worried about his situation. Hoping to get some answers, fans left comments on Strahan's last Instagram post, which went up on Oct. 25.
"Where are you? Haven’t seen you on GMA or Fox football," wrote one fan, as another said, "Hope you are okay Stray!! Miss you on NFLonFOX."
Someone on X also asked, "Michael where are you? That’s like 2 Sundays in a row! Have you just left or are you terribly sick? Anyway please come back soon!"
During the Nov. 5 episode of FOX NFL Sunday, fellow host Curt Menefee mentioned that Strahan was out dealing with a "personal family matter," though he didn't elaborate any further.
Neither Good Morning America nor Strahan has shared any comments on his continued absence, and it's unclear exactly when he will return. Along with Strahan, his twin daughters, Isabella and Sophia, also haven't updated their social media recently, even when it was their 19th birthday on Oct. 28.
Strahan is known for being quite private about his personal life, so it isn't out of the ordinary for him to not update fans on any ongoings. Concerned viewers will likely have to wait for Strahan to provide a response and explanation, if he so chooses, sometime in the future.
