Mike Sorrentino confirmed his engagement to Lauren Pesce back in April, but how he proposed was still a mystery until last night's episode of Jersey Shore Family Vacation.

While Lauren was visiting the house, the girls took her out, pretending to have a "girls day." The guys ran all the errands, grabbing flowers, picking up desserts, and even finding matching outfits.

Then, Mike took Lauren to dinner so the roommates could decorate the house while they were gone. They put up a DJ booth and rolled out a red carpet for the couple. They even decorated it with candles and lights. While Mike and Lauren were at dinner, Mike was obviously nervous, and Lauren could tell something was up.

“I think Lauren definitely notices something is up with me,” he said. “She’s known me for over 15 years, and I really don’t get nervous. But it’s very nerve-wracking to trust all these guidos with such an important moment in my life!”

Once they got home, Mike walked Lauren into the backyard. “You’re my best friend, my college sweetheart, my better half,” Mike said, while getting down on one knee. “You make me a better person. Please make me the happiest man on earth. Will you please marry me?”

And she OBVIOUSLY said yes. The Situation is currently awaiting sentencing for a tax evasion charge, which he plead guilty to in January. He wanted to propose to Lauren so he could lock it down before he finds out if he'll spend time in jail.

“We’ve been through so much, and for us to finally get engaged, it’s really special,” Mike said. “Because it wasn’t guaranteed. It’s been very stormy for a while. The odds were against me. People bet against me. But against all odds, she’s been there throughout the ups and downs, the good times and the bad times.”

“I’ve been wanting to get to this day for so long, and right now, I’m feeling like all these bad times that I’ve been through, it’s all worth it for this moment right here.”
