Miley Cyrus and Kaitlynn Carter Have 'Really Fallen' for Each Other
Miley Cyrus and Kaitlynn Carter's romantic friendship seems to be becoming a full-fledge relationship. Us Weekly reports that the two have developed feelings for each other. Miley has “really fallen for her and the feeling is mutual!" a source said. "Miley feels she can totally be herself with Kaitlynn, and is really comfortable around her.”
Cyrus' favorite thing about Carter, the source said, is her “free-spirited, nonjudgmental, fun personality.” The two are "on the same page, which is why they work so well together.”
Cyrus' ability to be herself was something she didn't have with her ex Liam Hemsworth, who filed for divorce from her last month. “She just got to the point where she didn’t want to hold back about who she is. She wants to be true to herself," a source close to Cyrus told People at the end of August about why their relationship failed. "Being with Liam, this was just not possible. For them to be happy, she had to change as a person too much. She knows not being with Liam will make her happier in the long run.”
Us Weekly's update comes after People reported that Carter and Cyrus have moved in together. “They live together and are very happy,” a Cyrus source told People on Monday. “Miley is doing great. She is moving on. She seems to have no regrets. She loves being with Kaitlynn.”
Cyrus herself wrote on Twitter about her split from Hemsworth and how their breakup was ultimately the right choice for her. "Liam and I have been together for a decade. I’ve said it before & it remains true, I love Liam and always will," Cyrus wrote. "BUT at this point I had to make a healthy decision for myself to leave a previous life behind. I am the healthiest and happiest I have been in a long time."
