Mindy Kaling wows fans in 'absolutely stunning' pink and red gown: 'An actual queen'
Mindy Kaling is channeling her inner "queen."
On Thursday, the 43-year-old took to Instagram with a carousel of photos posing in a rose, coral and burgundy faille dress with lantern sleeves and a tulip skirt by designer Bibhu Mohapatra for the season 3 premiere of her Netflix series, "Never Have I Ever."
"What a week it’s been talking about this amazing new season of "Never Have I Ever!" And now headed to the season 3 premiere — to see my favourite people, the cast and crew and fans! Please tune in tomorrow when it drops on Netflix!" the "Mindy Project" star captioned her post.
Fans of the actress and producer couldn't get enough of her "royalty-inspired" look.
"It's giving royalty-inspired, and I'm here for it. You literally look like a queen. Love everything about this look. You're absolutely stunning!" one Instagram user commented on the photos, while another wrote, "An actual queen."
"Wait. Stop. No. This dress is the one. Just wear it to everything!" one fan penned.
"Are you aging backward? Because wow, wow, wow, you just get better with age!" someone else asked.
One person added: "Omg, this whole look! Gorgeous!"
"#StyleGoals! Outfit on point!" another chimed in, while someone else commented, "Obsessed with this look on you!"
"Mindy! You look so healthy and happy and beautiful. And that dress is everything on you," wrote another.
In April, Kaling opened up about her recent weight loss and how she was able to shed pounds without resorting to restrictive dieting or strict fitness regimes.
“I eat what I like to eat. If I do any kind of restrictive diet, it never really works for me. I just eat less of it,” the actress revealed to Entertainment Tonight.
She admitted that she wishes her weight loss method was more exciting, but it really just came down to portion control.
“I wish there was something more juicy or dynamic about the way that I’ve lost a little bit of weight, but that’s the way I’ve done it," she shared.
Kaling explained that she decided to cut down on how much she consumes after welcoming her second child, Spencer, in 2020.
“I had my son in the first year of the pandemic. It was this almost extended maternity leave. I wasn’t going to be on camera, the studios were shut down,” she said. “After I had my daughter [in December 2017], I had to shoot a movie, like, two months later, so I was very much like, ‘Just give me grilled salmon and sautéed spinach. I’m going to eat that for three months.'”
“When the world started coming back a little bit, I thought, ‘This kind of eating what appears, not taking any consideration for what I’m eating, is probably not the way to go,'” she added.
