Mirasol's Cafe opens in Fairhaven. Here's what to expect at the new spot.
FAIRHAVEN — Mirasol's Cafe has opened its newest location on People's Way in Fairhaven. This is the third location for the popular cafe, with its first drive-thru option.
"We wanted to offer our customers the convenience of a drive-thru," said Morgan Ponces, the general manager. "Customers have loved that they can pull up and get any of the Mirasol's menu items through the drive-thru."
Ponces, who has been with Mirasol's for five years, started as a barista and is now the general manager of the new Fairhaven site.

"I love Mirasol's because of the community it builds, not just among employees, but also with our regulars," Ponces said. "Having people that enjoy seeing you coming in and getting a coffee is amazing."
What makes Mirasol's different from other coffee shops
One of the things that sets Mirasol's apart from other cafes is using locally sourced products. From Jim's Organic Coffee to fresh produce from MASA Fruit Company, the cafe supports local businesses and tries to give back to the community as much as possible.
"Our menu will be the same at all locations, so our customers can expect the same quality and taste no matter which Mirasol's they visit," Ponces added. "But here in Fairhaven, we do have a larger outdoor space, making it easier for our customers to navigate and park."
At the Dartmouth location, Ponces said parking has always been an issue for Mirasol's customers because of the limited amount of spaces and only one entrance and exit. In Fairhaven, not only have the amount of parking spaces tripled but there are now four pick-up lanes exclusively for customers to grab-and-go with their order.
The team at Mirasol's is also looking forward to opening more locations in the near future. "We hope to have a handful of new locations open by this time next year," Ponces said.

At the end of the day, Ponces said despite being in a new area, the newest Mirasol's is still the same and not a new learning curve for customers.
"They're not gonna have to come in and kind of wonder what they could get," she said. "And obviously, the Chippi is going to be the same, and that will always be a Mirasol's staple."
