MM6 Maison Margiela and Salomon’s long-teased sneaker mules are finally set to release.

The MM6 Maison Margiela x Salomon XT-4 Mule will release next week in three colorways. The formula for the collaboration is simple, as the heel has been chopped off the trail-running shoe to turn it into a slip-on. MM6’s logo is printed onto the toe, and the tongue’s webbing features new co-branding while the speed-lacing system remains. On the heel, you’ll also find another round of co-branding.

Options for the sneaker-mule hybrid consist of all-black; an earthy mix of “Transparent Yellow,” “Shale” and “Lapis Blue” and the bright “Spectrum Blue,” white and “Spring Bouquet.” The latter edition features a green-to-blue gradient on its mesh upper along with a yellow insole and midsole trim.

MM6 Maison Margiela and Salomon began working together in 2023, and their most recent effort saw the X-Alp release in black and white-and-black. Last year, they also took on a trio of the ACS Pro, as well the waterproof shrouded Cross Mid.

Along with its successor in the XT-6, the XT-4 has been one of Salomon’s more popular models amid a wider trend favoring outdoor sneakers. The trail-runner is praised for its comfort in everyday wear, as cushioning is provided by dual-density EVA and stabilized by a full-length Agile Chassis Skeleton.

The MM6 Maison Margiela x Salomon XT-4 Mules will release June 24 through both parties’ websites, as well as select boutiques. Pricing is set at $395.
