"Modern Family" Stars Sarah Hyland and Ariel Winter Film Funny "The Shining" Video Together
Sarah Hyland and Ariel Winter filmed a funny video inspired by The Shining.
Ariel Winter messed up the video by adding the word "daddy" to that infamous line from The Shining.
With Modern Family wrapping up, now's the time to soak up in all the Dunphy content we can. The cast is currently shooting their holiday content and on-screen sisters Sarah Hyland and Ariel Winter couldn't pass up an opportunity to have a little fun. Sarah and Ariel tried to recreate that classic scary moment from the film adaption of Stephen King's The Shining, but it didn't exactly go as planned. The girls tried to recreate that scene in The Shining when Danny sees that creepy image of the Grady Twins in the hallway dressed identically.
Just like the Grady Twins, Ariel and Sarah were also dressed in similar outfits. In the video which Sarah posted to her IG, the girls wore fleece jackets as they stared at the camera and tried to deliver that iconic line when they ask Danny to come and play with them.
The girls started delivering the line in sync, but Ariel completely messed up and said "Come play with us daddy," immediately confusing Sarah.

After the mess-up, Sarah asked Ariel whether she had ever seen "The Shining." In the caption to the clip, Sarah cleared up that Ariel had seen the video, though. "disclaimer: @arielwinter HAS seen the shining she just thought I told her to say daddy instead of Danny," she wrote.
Ariel also cleared up what went wrong in the comments, writing that she went with what she thought Sarah wanted her to say. "I was confused af but I went with what I thought you said and now ????," she wrote.
You can also here Jesse Tyler Ferguson, aka Michael Pritchett, in the background calling the girls "corny."
This clip from set just further solidified that I wish I could be a part of the Dunphy family. They'll be missed.
