When celebrities launch their own beauty brands (which seems inevitable nowadays), they usually stop recommending other products. It's like “get ready with me” videos and the like are now created within a vacuum where nothing else exists. So, I paid extra attention when actress, model, and founder of Yse Skincare, Molly Sims, talked about her love for lip care brand Sara Happ.

In an Instagram Live last week, Sims said, “Can we talk about Sara Happ? Her lip products are the best.” She  emphasized the Lip Scrub, which she called a “car wash for your lips.”  I immediately looked up the lip scrub, which the brand says is supposed to make lips look more naturally vibrant, full, and moisturized. Sims’ description of the scrub was a prime one.

The Lip Scrub

The Lip Scrub has 100-plus five-star reviews and comes in five different scents: grapefruit, peach, vanilla bean, coconut, and brown sugar. All five are formulated with the same four core ingredients: sugar, jojoba seed oil, grapeseed oil, and sunflower seed oil. The sugar crystals exfoliate away dead skin without causing harm or damage. The trio of oils are packed with antioxidants that help to improve elasticity and boost hydration while treating irritation.

To use it, simply spread the scrub across your lips using a finger or tissue. When you feel like your lips have been in the car wash for long enough, just wipe it off. Your pout should feel, in a word, revitalized. Its natural color should appear more vibrant with moisture restored and flaky skin nowhere to be seen.

“I tend to bite the skin off my lips, causing them to bleed, and when they heal my lips are dry and flakey,” one reviewer said. Even so, Sara Happ’s Lip Scrub restored their “smoothness” with just one use. A lip scrub might seem like a superfluous step but another reviewer said this product will change your mind about that. They were “pleasantly surprised” by how this became one of the “most effective” steps in their skin care routine. A third shopper said this left their lips feeling “silky smooth.”

Head to Sara Happ to shop its refreshing and exfoliating Lip Scrub. While you’re there, check out the Lip Slip Balm that Sims is also a fan of.
