It seems like every "kids these days" phrase is followed by some form of technology overuse: They never put their phone down, they're always surfing the Internet, the list goes on and on. But this savvy mom (which we spotted on Imgur!) uses her children's obsession to her advantage by holding onto the family's Wi-Fi password as collateral (muahaha).

You see, before heading out for the day, she leaves her kids a note explaining what chores they need to complete. And she withholds the Wi-Fi password until she receives a photo showing her that the tasks at hand have been completed. And to prevent her kids from using old pics, the photo has to contain a specific box of crackers that she's left on the stove for them. Genius.

The hardest part for the parent is figuring out a brand-new password every morning, but that's an easy price to pay for a clean home, right? No, you say? Then try taking your kid's charger ransom instead. Even though they'll still get a few solid hours of Facebook into their day, once the juice runs out they'll have to clean up to recharge their device. Pro tip: This also works for bad grades.

But, if your kids aren't totally addicted to their technology, that doesn't mean you're out of luck. Maybe holding onto their allowance will catch their attention.

Clearly, all you have to do is figure out your kid's weakness and you'll have a clean kitchen in no time. And remember, you're doing what's best for them... even if they beg to differ.
